Olivia Palermo

Wer genau im Trailer der neuen Serie "The City" hingeschaut und gehört hat, der hat erkannt, dass auch Olivia Palermo eine Rolle in der jüngsten MTV- Reality- Welt abgestaubt hat.

Mir war sie vorher auch nur vage vom Namen her bekannt. Schnell gegoogelt und schon gibts Infos.

Olivia ist nicht nur ein wahnsinnig hübsches, sondern auch ein angestrengtes New Yorker Mädchen, das verzweifelt versucht, mit Papas Geld und schlauem PR- Berater die Bekanntheitskala der New Yorker Society hochzuklettern.

Kein Wunder, dass man nicht nur positive Artikel, sondern auch viel Negatives über sie liest, wenn man sie googelt.

Mir egal- ich find sie hübsch und mag ihre Klamotten- mich kümmerts nicht, wie beliebt sie unter der New Yorker Prominenz ist.

Das erste Spin- off der MTV- Hit- Serie The Hills ist geboren; The City (wie kreativ) mit Whitney Port:

Elle Decor hat in der Oktober Ausgabe die New Yorker Wohnung der bezaubernden Jessica Stam unter die Lupe genommen.

Hier kommen die Fotos:

Sie hat die Wohnung nicht selbst eingerichtet, dafür engagierte sie den Innenarchitekten Rafael de Cardenas, welcher ihr Reich nach seinen Vorstellungen gestaltete.

Ich weiß nicht, wie ich die Wohnung finden soll. Schön, auf jeden Fall- aber auch ziemlich unpersönlich und kalt, oder?

Meiner Meinung nach wirkt es wie die Fotostrecke für ein teures Einrichtungshaus. Gerade bei einem Model, wie Jessica Stam hätte ich mehr Persönlichkeit und Verspieltheit erwartet.

Allerdings sieht man ihre Wohnung jetzt nur vorbereitet auf die Fotoaufnahmen. Vielleicht sieht sie im normalen Gebrauch (hier und da liegen Klamotten rum, die Zeitungen liegen im Wohnzimmer etc.) ganz anders und viel wohnlicher aus.

Favourite Gossip Girl

Leighton Meester finde ich toll. Sie spielt in der neuen US- Serie Gossip Girl die Rolle der listigen Blair Waldorf.

Während ihr Serien- Alter Ego eher auf den Schuldmädchenlook in Kombination mit teuren Designersachen setzt, ist Leighton im echten Leben eher abwechselungsreich.

Ähm, joa, Christina. Dass du hübsch bist, möchte dir keiner absprechen, aber was du aus dir machst, ist wirklich manchmal grausam.

Klar, Christina Aguilera war noch nie meine persönliche Stilikone, ich erinnere mich da gerne noch an solche Outfits:

Whitney Port- Clothing Line

Ich liebe die MTV "Reality"- Serie The Hills. Das Schauen der Serie am Dienstag unter MTV.com ist sozusagen mein guilty pleasure. Sinnfrei und wahrscheinlich auch noch gestellt, aber egal- ich mags.

Da Lauren und auch Whitney in der Fashion- Industrie arbeiten, ist es klar, dass auch das Styling der Mädels eine große Rolle bei The Hills spielt.

Dass Lauren Conrad eine Kleidungslinie designed hat, ist ziemlich bekannt. Ihre Linie mag ich persönlich gerne: Viele Kleider, sehr sommerlich, mädchenhaft und sehr California- Beach- Girl- mässig- allerdings auch super teuer.

Auch Heidi Montag hat eine Linie mit dem Namen Heidiwood entworfen.

Wie jetzt bekannt wurde, hat auch Whitney Port eine Klamottenlinie designed. Unter dem Namen Eve& A sollen die guten Stücke im Herbst erscheinen.

Es wird eine 17- teilige Kollektion mit Kleidern, Tops und Jacken, preislich liegt sie zwischen $ 40 und $250.

Viele Fotos sind leider noch nicht zu finden, allerdings kann man sich ja schon mal so einen kleinen Eindruck machen. Ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt. Ich mag Whitney und auch ihren persönlichen Stil, der etwas wild und gleichzeitig mädchenhaft ist.

It's been days since a C-lister launched a clothing line, so we'll revisit Whitney Port's forthcoming "contemporary" collection, Eve and A. We learn in WWD the name came from Port's middle name (Eve!) and her co-creative director Adrienne Baravetto's first name (and A!). The line launches for fall with twenty pieces ranging from $50 to $220. Apparently many will be adjustable:
[A] hood and giant gold zipper help transform a $195 wool jacket into six shapes, ranging from a double-breasted top with a sailor flap in the back to one with a poufy shawl collar.
Another multifunctional item is a $50 slip whose fit can be finessed with adjustable straps and a corset-style tie in the back. The single body, available in hot pink, gunmetal gray, navy and beige, features a ruffled hem that allows the slip to be worn alone or layered under another top or dress. In addition, a $100 wool skirt is constructed with pins that the wearer can adjust to be a mini or float above the knee.
We were kind of excited about Whitney doing a line because the girl really does dress well and is so pleasant and eating-disorder-free. But judging from this description and the above photo of one of the line's pieces, this collection won't inspire us to make a special trip to Kitson or any of the other L.A. retailers who actually bought it. Because no New York store wanted the collection, which is all you really need to know.

Das Marilyn Manson- Makeover?

Nein, Marilyn ist immer noch der Gleiche äußerlich gesehen. Mir gehts hier eher um seine jeweiligen Gefährtinnen.

Dita von Teese hat ihren Stil perfektioniert und weltberühmt gemacht. Natürlich, sie wurde vor Allem dadurch bekannt, dass sie mit Schockrocker Marilyn zusammen war. Nun, jetzt sind sie getrennt. Trotzdem hat Dita ihren Grad an Bekanntheit und Bewunderung nicht aufgegeben, sondern eher erweitert, und damit auch ihren einzigartigen Stil weiter in Szene gesetzt.

Einzigartig??? Naja. Früher vielleicht. Jetzt hat Dita einen Zwilling. Und wer hätte das gedacht? Ausgerechnet Marilyns Neue, Evan Rachel Wood schwimmt auf der Bourlesque- Welle mit.

Seltsam. Denn ich kenne sie auch noch so:

Und jetzt? Sie und Dita könnten die perfekten Double sein. Gleiche Frisur (schwarz), gleiche Kleider (schwarz) und gleicher Lippenstift (nein, ausnahmsweise nicht schwarz, sondern... rot).

Ist das das allgemeine Marilyn Makeover? Muss jetzt jede seiner Freundinnen so aussehen, wie Dita? Oder ist Evan nur verunsichert von ihrer charismatischen Vorgängerin, und versucht mit der Kopie ihres Looks die Welt und besonders Marilyn zu beeindrucken?

Hier kommt die Gegenüberstellung; man kann sie sogar auseinander halten, wenn man sich anstrengt!

It is no big secret that the Olsen- Twins are wearing fur- and it is also well-known that Peta is such a fur- enemy...

That is why Peta just created a video and a whole website to make fun of Mary- Kate and Ashley.

Here is Peta's comment to the situation:

"Not only is killing animals in the name of fashion cruel, it's uuugly. Some say that Hairy-Kate and Trashley are guilty of offending their fans with some major fashion boo-boos, but here at peta2, we think that's the understatement of the year!"

Amy Winehouse- Icon for Karl Lagerfeld?

After a really long absence I am blogging again today.University stresses me out, so I have been so lazy about blogging.

I apologize a 1000 times...

I start with a question for you today: What do you think about Amy Winehouse?

When I think of Amy, thoughts of wine, cigarettes and cocaine run through my head. I remember her strange appearance at the EMAs. She got on stage, totally drunk or whatever, and could not find the words for her speach in front of the fans. Her performance was not even better.

Amy has a bunch of bad habits: she smokes (so am I- and I try to quit ;) ), she drinks too much, she probably does drugs, and she is anorexic. Not such a good role-model for young people in my opinion.

But maybe a role- model for Karl Lagerfeld?

He just told contactmusic.com that Amy inspired him for his last Chanel- show. " She is an style icon. She is an talented and beautiful artist. I like her hair cut the most. Amy took the 60's and 50's style of Brigitte Bardot. [...] Amy, she is the new Brigitte."

Okay... strange. Amy's hair looks like a bird has build his nest in it, and from my point of view she looks like Brigitte Bardot on LSD and wihout a shower for three weeks. Besides from that, I really do like Amy. She has a great voice and could be such a great performer- when she is sober.

And sometimes, her outfits look great, but most of the times she just looks dirty and filthy.

But no harsh words Amy- I like you, even though!

Can anybody make sure, that she really eats that stuff?!

Why is everybody so obsessed with Paris Hilton? Pay attention to her sister Nicky! In contrast to Paris, Nicky shows up with very classy and stylish outfits.


She is not in need to show up in provocative and brief outfits, she shines likewise.

Paris Fashionweek: Front row Styling

First of all, I am very sorry, that I can not write so often at the moment. University has begun again, and so I am very busy. But I will try to take more time for that, I promise!

Anyway, here are some pictures of the Paris Fashionweek. It took place from the 29th of september to the 7th of october. Enough time for the stars and fashion victims to show up and present their very own fashion show in the front row.

Chloe Sevigny at Chloe: One of my favourite pictures because of her dress. I like the way she wears the big cotton pullover as a short mini dress.



Rachel Bilson at Chanel: Isn't she cute? She wears her black dress with the beige belt and silver jewelry. Because of that it looks classy and casual at the same time.

Lilly Allen at Stelly McCartney: Look at Lilly! Remember her first appearence in music television? Back then, she had a very strange taste in clothes and style by wearing skater shoes to skirts. And now? I think she makes a very good figure in her silky dress and looks very elegant.

Lilly again with Kirsten Dunst and Karl Lagerfeld: Even Karl Lagerfeld has recognized that Lilly has made a chance in style.

Victoria Beckham at Louis Vuitton:Typically Vic... She always looks like an elegant lady.

Dita von Teese at Valentino: By wearing the clean black clothes she makes such a great appearence.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: Catches the attention by wearing extreme casually clothes. While all the other stars appear in designer clothes, she is very jeans and pullover. Like it!

Chloe again at Lavin: She is wearing another great dress. I adore the colour and the cut of her silky dress!

Finally, Lilly again at Chanel: I can only repeat what I said before. She has made such a great change. Here she is pretty in black and sets an eyecatcher with the red chanel bag.

Lauren Conrad- America's new fashion darling?

We all know Lauren Conrad from the MTV's show The Hills. The last two/ three years you had the chance to see every up and down of her life. She became popular because of 'Laguna Beach', also an MTV show. We saw her beeing in love with Steven, having fun with Lo, breaking up with Jason, partying with Audrina and working at TeenVogue.

And of course, we watched her fashion style. Today, Lauren is so popular for her style and it seems like thats she is America's new fashion darling.

Goodbye Lindsay, Goodbye Paris and Nicole, here comes Lauren.

What made LC so popular? Back in Laguna Beach days she was just a pretty but average california girl. There was nothing really special about her. Tank top, a pair of jeans, flip flops and the long blond hair- typical Lauren's style. She looked always cute and so pretty but just like all the other girls from the show, too.

Well, but LC from Laguna Beach has grown up. Now she is Lauren from The Hills- and she has a whole different style. She is more individual now, more unique. She always suprises the people by wearing styles nobody did not ever expect her to wear. But it fits.

I do really understand that she is such a big role model when it comes to fashion. Lauren knows what she is doing when she is putting clothes on.

When I saw her in Laguna Beach I just thought that she has a nice and sunny way of dressing but now Lauren is kind of inspiration for me and my own style.
